Apero Bar and Restaurant is located in the Baharini shopping center and is to be found at the furthest right corner of the shopping mall. It can be a bit hidden at times on its busy days due to cars parked upfront however just a little sneak peek is all it needs.

Environment

Apero Bar and Restaurant is a petit restaurant but well structured at its core with both a bar section and a dining location. Its nature of being located at a shopping center makes it an ideal place to meet up with friends and family for exceptional lunch or dinner or even a romantic session which to our knowledge we see a lot at Apero. It is safe to say that Apero can hold up to about 50 guests at each given time making it more personal for each costumers experience.

Food

The food at Apero is usually the highlight when we go there. What is important to note is that Apero doesn’t have the largest Menu but whatever you order from that Menu is exceptional in every way.

Bar Bittings as such as Samosa, a plate of Calamari or Prawns, and even the good old Chicken wings are always a sure bet however if you’re looking for a real meal that will send you home full we recommend a few amazing items that have never let us down. Their pizzas are by far the most topped pizzas that we have come across throughout Diani Beach. Whether you order a chicken pizza or Seafood or the Apero special these pizzas have forced even the biggest of men to their limits and despite the number of toppings, they do taste amazing. Their CRAZY salad is also an epic experience to eat the salad consist of prawn, calamari, chicken, cheese, nuts, fruit, and Salad served on a huge platter with extra dressing on the side.

Other than that Apero Bar and Restaurant serves a few other dishes as such stake, Pasta, Catch of the day, and Soups which are all equally good.

Last but not least is that the Apero kitchen team work on weekly specials that are off the menu but recommend by their staff as soon as you arrive such as Beef Stroganoff, Ossobuco, and Tandori chicken with greek yogourt or chicken in a red wine sauce.

Drinks   

Apero has pretty much all the drinks that one can buy. From a huge selection of Whiskies, Cognac, Gin, Vodka, and Rum leading to a vast amount of cocktails ranging from the classics like Margaritas or Pinacolada down to Blue Lagoon or Mai Tai cocktails. We would say its at least 20 different options.

Their wine selection is also quite large from Red or White wines to Rose or even Sparkling Wine if the occasion allows it.

Cleanliness & Toilets  

Apero Bar and Restaurant is super well maintained and always clean. Never experienced any sort of issue whether it is the table tops the bar section or even the toilets. 10 out 10 

Service Team

The Apero team is a young and energetic combination of both males and females. It’s always nice to sit in a restaurant that is not understaffed meaning a waiter is never far away from you ready to help out.

Price Value

Apero is an exclusive experience and therefore so is the bill at the end of that journey we cant say it’s the most expensive in Diani Beach. However, the quality is what you pay for making this place among some of the more pricy places in Kwale County.

Conclusion

Apero Bar and Restaurant is ideal for pretty much any occasion whether it is family time or perhaps a Business meeting the place will never let you down in its quality. It has also become a hub later in the evening hours for people meeting after work for some drinks or even the usual warm-up drinks before heading into Diani´s nightlife. Great food, great service remedy for a good time
